Making a Strong Impression at Rutland County Show
The Vale of Catmos Lodge proudly took part in this year’s Rutland County Show, marking the launch of its inaugural exhibitor campaign — an exciting new step in raising public awareness of Freemasonry and the values it represents.
With about 5,000 visitors, the Lodge's stall provided a friendly space for people to ask questions, learn about Freemasonry, and see its important role in local and national communities. Due to the hard work of the Brethren, the campaign was successful, and early signs indicate that it is going well, with approximately six potential new candidates expressing interest in joining the Lodge this season.
W Bro Steve extended his sincere thanks to all who supported the effort across both days of the show. “Well done to all Brethren who turned up yesterday and today to get our inaugural exhibitor campaign off to what turned out to be a pretty successful show. The effort was worth it,” he said.
Special thanks went to Brother Gavin, W Bro George, Brother Glenn, W Bro Leroy, Brother Ash, W Bro Nick, W Bro Ian, and Steve himself — with a particular mention for Brother Roly, who generously loaned his gazebo to the Lodge, helped oversee its setup, and volunteered to handle the takedown on his own.
This appearance at the Rutland County Show marks an encouraging step forward in community engagement for the Vale of Catmos Lodge — with more outreach efforts to come as the Lodge looks ahead to the new season.
